Through out the history, mankind has recorded observations of the Aura as an energy field surrounding the human body. Indian spiritual traditions over 5000 years old tell us of a Universal energy, a vital source of all life formed as an individual field which is perceived as a luminous body surrounding and integrated with the physical body of each living thing including plants and animals with the spiritual plane where all energy and creation originate. Only the seers and few clairvoyants were able to read all seven layers of a person’s Aura. Our Ancient Hindu Vedic texts and other esoteric teachings have described the electromagnetic fields and subatomic physics seen as Aura as an energy field surrounding the human body. The Rig Veda 1.1 says that the Agni brings all Devas i.e. natural forces into the Yajna, which means that all natural forces like gravitation, electromagnetism, thermic energy, etc. come into play at the instance of Agni, which thus represents the unified force field.
The Aggregation of matter in the form of elementary particles and Atoms and their motion produces the vast Yajna in the form of the great creation. The main elementary particles and atoms taking part in the process are Mitra the electron and Varuna the proton and their combination Mitra – Varuna, the hydrogen Atom. The interplay of Electromagnetic and gravitational forces produces thermic energy with the emission of electromagnetic radiation from it. The Rig Veda reveals further that the elementary particles and atoms first come closer on account of electrical attraction and produce a thermic energy. Thereafter, gravitational forces enhance this process and produce light and electromagnetic radiation.
A confirmation of the truth that the main strength of God Vishnu (the preserver and sustainer of the entire universe and mythically the wielder of the Sudarshana chakra, which symbolizes rotary motion) rotates the energy like a big wheel. By this great strong rotary motion and centrifugal force the three kind of Aura were ejected i.e. with low, high and medium brightness. By this cosmic electromagnetic Aura our body is affected.
In the Kurma Purana there is an interesting passages relating to the seven colors while describing the Bhuvankosa – The rays that compose His body are omnipresent and illumine the limitless worlds in the Universe and among the highest because they form the matrices of the seven planets (K.P. 43 VI – 2). The rays do the work of creation, maintenance and destruction of the Universe as the cosmic Mind Wills and as Time is mature.
In the Holy Bible (Genesis IX. 13) it is said about the seven colors, “I do set my bow in the cloud and it shall be for a token of a covenant between God and every living creature of all flesh that is upon the earth”.
The ancient Chinese referred to it as Ch’i and believed that all matter whether animate or inanimate was composed of this universe energy. In all the religious paintings portraying halos around the head of Gods, goddesses, Christ and the saints indicate that the powerful spiritual energy of these people was actually visible and witnessed by others as a golden light, especially around the heads and upper bodies. In recent years, more and more people are interested in exploring the human Aura to understand the true source of emotional and physical imbalances, which often lead to disease.
The Aura, a field of energy that surrounds people and other living things, reflects the energy of the spirit in that body. Commonly called the etheric field, this energy extends about two to four inches around the body and usually a light or pastel shade. Layering the etheric is the aura which contains every color and shade in the rainbow and usually extends 2-5 inches from the body. Its colors, textures and patterns reveal much information about physical, emotional, mental and spiritual states. An Aura is like a thumbprint, it is completely individual and express who you really are in your entire splendor. As has been said already we have to look for the origin of everything to the cosmic colors.
The Punch Mahabhutas are the five great elements i.e. Earth, Water, Fire, Air and Ether are nothing but condensation of cosmic colors. Earth is a condensation of green color water of Orange and Indigo. Fire is Red and Yellow, Air of Violet while Ether is the condensed form of blue.
Again we see that Sight is caused by the Red cosmic color, Smell by Green, Touch by violet, Sound by Blue and Taste by Orange. Besides these five colors bodily heat is caused by Yellow and Indigo maintains bodily cold. Thus the sense organs are related to the seven colors –
- Eyes show Red cosmic color
- Skin shows Violet cosmic color
- Nose Tip shows Green cosmic color
- Tongue shows Orange cosmic color and
- Cavities including ears show Blue cosmic color
Likewise five Vayus known as Pran, Apan, Saman, Udan and Vyan also originate from seven colors. Pran Vayu originates from the Earth element and therefore from the cosmic Green color. Apan Vayu originates from water element and therefore originates from Orange and Indigo. Saman Vayu as originates from Agni element hence forms from yellow and Red. Udan Vayu as originates from Vayu elements forms from Violet and lastly Vyan Vayu as originates from Ether element hence forms from Blue cosmic color.
The Tridosa of Ayurveda has also its origin in cosmic colors. Vayu Dosa combinations Air and Ether elements and it therefore originates from the cosmic colors Blue and Violet. Pita Dosa originates from Fire element hence it originates from Yellow and Red cosmic colors. Kafa Dosa is a combination of Water and Earth Elements hence originates from Orange – Indigo and Green cosmic colors.
Thus it broadly shows the importance of cosmic colors, which are enveloped on our body around us called Aura. The rays of Aura play an important part in our lives. We are born in these rays we live and thrive in these rays and we die in these very rays. Hence when we talk about Aura we mean the existence of living being.
The Aura colors configurations and movement patterns convey signals and images that communicate the person’s problems or state of being. The “Auric Body” is composed of seven layers the three of these layers the Mental, the Emotional and Etheric body connect us with the physical plane of reality on which we enact the drama of our mortal lives. A fourth layer, the Astral body, connects us with the astral plane of reality which could be viewed as the hallway between the physical plane and the spiritual plane. The last three layers, the Etheric template, the celestial body and the Ketheric body, connect us with the Great natural force i.e. the God.
Individuals with very unbalanced emotional lives can mature into emotionally balanced personalities by increasing their awareness and by using appropriate therapies or meditation, although this personality change is a process that requires time.
The electromagnetic field reacts faster to inner and outer influences and therefore changes more frequently but as is connected to the higher energy bodies, it can indicate the nature of body, mind, soul and can inform us about personality trails, feelings, talents desires and energy patterns. The physical, mental and spiritual planes of every person have an individual vibratory rate. Therefore different colors or color combinations of respective vibratory planes reflect these personality planes.
